Amanda Cherié
Nelsen was born in
Lansing, Michigan to Mr. & Mrs. Timothy Covert. She began traveling with her
family, singing southern gospel music at the age of seven until they settled
into full-time ministry in 1995. Her father was truly the minister, but he
always expressed his desire for the entire family’s support and it was
reflected in every member’s involvement. As a result, Amanda felt a natural
desire to continue pursuing music by attending North Central University.
Amanda married
Robert Nelsen on July 17, 2004. Amanda & Robert quickly knew that God was
calling them to serve together in music around the country. In 2006, they
established Amanda Cherie Music Ministries. In late 2007, Amanda completed her
first original CD project, “Run Home.” It is a compilation of Amanda’s best
writing from the past few years. The project is a reflection of the struggles
